Arranged to suit you · free
We come and look
Ring or email and we will arrange to come out. On a garden that means walking the plot with you — levels, slope, drainage, access for machinery, how much sun a spot actually gets, and how you want to use the space when it is finished. On a commercial site it means measuring the areas, agreeing the standard you want them kept to and working out a sensible visit frequency. We will also tell you at that visit if we think an idea will not work, or if there is a cheaper way to get most of the way there.

Usually within a week or so
A plan, then a written quote
The ideas go into a plan and the plan gets quoted properly, so you can see what is included before anybody starts. On landscaping work that means the materials, the sequence of works and what is going in under the surface; on a grounds contract it means what is covered on each visit and what sits outside the schedule. When pricing jobs we make every effort to meet the needs of the customer and their budget — and where the budget is fixed, we will tell you what it realistically buys.

A day to several weeks · then ongoing
The work, then keeping it right
We work in all weathers as far as possible, and where a job covers front and back we will usually complete the rear garden first and then do the front, keeping disruption and mess at the house end to a minimum. Everything we take off site goes on to be recycled. When the build is finished we can pick the garden up on a maintenance round — grass cutting, hedges, beds and seasonal work — so it carries on looking the way it did on the day we handed it over.

What happens to the waste
Ace of Spades has always promoted the recycling of materials. All the waste we take off your site goes on to be recycled — so nothing we remove ends up illegally disposed of or in landfill.
